Professor M.M. Saxena
Professor M.M. Saxena did his M.Sc. in Zoology with specialization in Environmental Biology and Ph.D. from University of Jodhpur. Currently, he is Dean - Faculty of Science and Prof.& Head, Department of Environmental Science, Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner. He was formerly Director, Research in the same university. He has over 35 years of research, post-graduate teaching, and administrative experience. He has supervised 21 Ph.D. and 26 M.Phil.scholars and has published over 150 research papers in the journals of international repute, besides authoring 6 books. Areas of research include: Major: Hydrobiology of the Indian desert with particular reference to freshwater sponges, leeches, molluscs, periphyton, bioindicators, trophic state indices, pollution ecology and aquaculture. Minor: Microbiology, Entomology, Wildlife and Parasitology. He is Editor-OIKOASSAY-An International Journal of Environmental and Allied Sciences, since 1984. He is on the Advisory Board of many journals. Prof.Saxena has attended over 80 national and international seminars/conferences and organized two International Conferences. Undertaken 4 Research Projects funded by different agencies.
